”El problema es que hay gente que ni siquiera tiene una oportunidad en la vida como la que yo he tenido. He hecho esta pel\u00edcula por ellos. Siempre me he considerado el portavoz, el que lleva la bandera del colectivo Down, porque no tienen voz. Alguien tiene que tenerla y me ha tocado a m\u00ed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aos 21 dias do m\u00eas de Mar\u00e7o temos uma data a comemorar, difundir e respeitar. \u00c9 o DIA INTERNACIONAL DA S\u00cdNDROME DE DOWN que foi criado para para lembrar esta condi\u00e7\u00e3o humana. \u00c9 uma data para confirmar as necess\u00e1rias mudan\u00e7as de paradigmas, com a urgente demoli\u00e7\u00e3o de muitos preconceitos. Comento e apresento, homenageando esta data, para os que desejam tamb\u00e9m um outro olhar sobre Down, o protagonismo e presen\u00e7a que vem crescendo, h\u00e1 alguns anos, de atores-atrizes com S\u00edndrome de Down nas telas de cinema.<\/p>\n

Apresento, para os que ainda n\u00e3o conhecem, o meu desejo de que, ao assistir ou ler sobre estes filmes e seus atores, nos estimulemos rumo a uma mudan\u00e7a radical na compreens\u00e3o de que as defici\u00eancias intelectuais comp\u00f5em uma heterog\u00eanea gama de seres humanos e sua diversidade funcional, assim como as demais pessoas. Ou seja que os princ\u00edpios da Declara\u00e7\u00e3o de Montreal sobre as Pessoas com Defici\u00eancia Intelectual (Montreal, Canad\u00e1, 2004) se tornem os alicerces concretos para esta mudan\u00e7a, onde se declara que: ” A defici\u00eancia intelectual, assim outras caracter\u00edsticas humanas, constitui parte integral da experi\u00eancia e da diversidade humana”.<\/p>\n
