O evento ter\u00e1 in\u00edcio \u00e0s 17h, no Pal\u00e1cio dos Bandeirantes, em S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>\n<p>A homenageada desta edi\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 a pedagoga Dorina Nowill, falecida em agosto deste ano. Dorina ser\u00e1 agraciada nas duas categorias do pr\u00eamio, individual e institucional, por sua dedica\u00e7\u00e3o ao trabalho de inclus\u00e3o social de deficientes visuais e pelas atividades desenvolvidas junto \u00e0 funda\u00e7\u00e3o que leva seu nome. A indica\u00e7\u00e3o do nome de Dorina foi feita pela UNESCO, cujo relator especial para Direito \u00e0 Educa\u00e7\u00e3o, Kishore Singh, vir\u00e1 ao Brasil especialmente para participar da solenidade.<\/p>\n<p>O Pr\u00eamio USP de Direitos Humanos \u00e9 concedido anualmente no anivers\u00e1rio da Declara\u00e7\u00e3o Universal dos Direitos Humanos &#8211; assinada em 1948, com o objetivo de identificar e homenagear pessoas e institui\u00e7\u00f5es que, por suas atividades exemplares, tenham contribu\u00eddo significativamente para a difus\u00e3o, dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o e divulga\u00e7\u00e3o dos Direitos Humanos no Brasil. Foi criado pela Comiss\u00e3o de Direitos Humanos da USP, formada em 1997 e, atualmente, sob a presid\u00eancia de Jos\u00e9 Gregori.<\/p>\n<p>Dorina Nowill, cega desde os 17 anos, criou, h\u00e1 mais de seis d\u00e9cadas, uma funda\u00e7\u00e3o que atua na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de livros em braile, livros e revistas falados e obras acad\u00eamicas no formato digital acess\u00edvel, distribu\u00eddos gratuitamente para pessoas com defici\u00eancia visual e para centenas de escolas, bibliotecas e organiza\u00e7\u00f5es de todo o Brasil.<\/p>\n<p>A Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Dorina Nowill Para Cegos tamb\u00e9m oferece, gratuitamente, programas de atendimento especializado ao deficiente visual nas \u00e1reas de avalia\u00e7\u00e3o e diagn\u00f3stico, educa\u00e7\u00e3o especial, reabilita\u00e7\u00e3o e coloca\u00e7\u00e3o profissional.<\/p>\n<p>A premia\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 realizada no Sal\u00e3o dos Pratos, no Pal\u00e1cio dos Bandeirantes, localizado \u00e0 Avenida
