A Down Syndrome International tem o prazer de anunciar a Confer\u00eancia do Dia Internacional da S\u00edndrome de Down Confer\u00eancia no dia 21 de Mar\u00e7o de 2013, na sede das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas em Nova Iorque, nos EUA.<\/p>\n

O tema deste ano ser\u00e1: “Direito ao Trabalho”.<\/p>\n

A Confer\u00eancia vai abordar o artigo 27 da Conven\u00e7\u00e3o sobre os Direitos das Pessoas com Defici\u00eancia, Trabalho e Emprego, que confere \u00e0s pessoas com s\u00edndrome de Down o direito de trabalhar em ambientes abertos, inclusivos e acess\u00edveis. O evento destacar\u00e1 a import\u00e2ncia da estimula\u00e7\u00e3o precoce e da educa\u00e7\u00e3o, aten\u00e7\u00e3o m\u00e9dica adequada, apoio \u00e0 vida laboral independente e participa\u00e7\u00e3o da comunidade para a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o deste direito.<\/p>\n

Haver\u00e1 apresenta\u00e7\u00f5es de pessoas com s\u00edndrome de Down, organiza\u00e7\u00f5es de pessoas com defici\u00eancia, empregadores, prestadores de servi\u00e7os da \u00c1frica, Am\u00e9rica do Norte, Am\u00e9rica do Sul, \u00c1sia, Europa e Oceania.<\/p>\n
