Inscri\u00e7\u00f5es at\u00e9 23\/12\/2016.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/adafellowship.org\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/adafellowship.org\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1480668547764000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGb6bJTmPi1B6GM66hml5kyZIqwQw\">https:\/\/adafellowship.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Fellowship is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State\u2019s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs\u2019 Professional Fellows Division.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It supports 20 mid-career professionals from Brazil, Kenya, Peru, and Tanzania, selected through a competitive process, to participate in a five-week intensive fellowship program (<span data-term=\"goog_89541970\">April 26 \u2013 June 3, 2017<\/span> or <span data-term=\"goog_89541971\">October 11 \u2013 November 18, 2017<\/span>) at a university-based research and education center for disabilities in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The program is focused on inclusive education to strengthen education access for people with disabilities globally.\u00a0<strong>Fellow application deadline is <span data-term=\"goog_89541972\">December 23, 2016<\/span>, and host application deadline is January 16, 2017.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>In order to apply to this program as a Fellow (eligibility criteria), you must \u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Be between the ages of 25 and 45;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Be currently living and working in Brazil, Peru, Kenya or Tanzania;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Be eligible to receive a U.S. J-1 visa<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Be proficient in spoken and written English;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Speaking proficiency<\/em> means that you are able to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on practical, social, and professional topics.<\/li>\n<li><em>Reading proficiency<\/em> means you are able to read standard newspaper items, routine correspondence, reports, and technical materials in your special field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Have at least two (2) or more years of relevant work experience with or for non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government offices, universities, schools or community-based organizations;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Have Professional interest and\/or experience in inclusive education and disabilities;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Be self-directed and able to work effectively in a cross-cultural setting;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Have demonstrated leadership and collaborative skills;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Be able to participate in the ADA International Fellowship Program in the US either in the spring (April 26<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 June 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2017) or in the fall (October 11<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 November 18<sup>th<\/sup>, 2017);<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Be committed to returning to your home country for a period of two (2) years after completion of the program (from December 2016 until December 2018); and<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Be committed to implementing an individual project that will benefit young people with disabilities and promote greater inclusive education in your region, country, or community following completion of the program.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Individuals from diverse backgrounds, including people with disabilities, are encouraged to apply.
