N\u00e3o \u00e9 incomum a afirma\u00e7\u00e3o de que n\u00e3o existem pessoas negras com s\u00edndrome de Down. Se a Trissomia do Cromossomo 21 independe de quest\u00f5es raciais, por que prevalece o mito de que pessoas negras n\u00e3o t\u00eam s\u00edndrome de Down? Este \u00e9 apenas um exemplo da invisibiliza\u00e7\u00e3o a que \u00e9 exposta a pessoa negra com defici\u00eancia.<\/div>\n

A marcante desigualdade social brasileira tem um recorte racial. O que se observa \u00e9 que a maior parte da popula\u00e7\u00e3o negra \u00e9 pobre, e ao mesmo tempo tem menos acesso aos servi\u00e7os de sa\u00fade, reabilita\u00e7\u00e3o e oportunidades de desenvolvimento. Ademais, vivemos em uma sociedade que nega espa\u00e7o de escuta \u00e0s pessoas negras, o que tamb\u00e9m atinge as pessoas negras com defici\u00eancia.<\/div>\n

O fato \u00e9 que dificilmente uma pessoa negra com defici\u00eancia aparece nas campanhas publicit\u00e1rias, ou como imagem representativa de pautas sociais, menos ainda ocupando o lugar de fala.<\/div>\n

Em resumo, existe um duplo v\u00e9u de invisibilidade sobre a pessoa negra com defici\u00eancia: o do capacitismo e o do racismo.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00c9 fundamental que as pessoas negras com defici\u00eancia sejam, de fato, contempladas por pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas que lhes garantam prote\u00e7\u00e3o, desenvolvimento e inclus\u00e3o. Cabendo tamb\u00e9m \u00e0 sociedade se conscientizar do seu papel e adotar pr\u00e1ticas que viabilizem a ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o dessa popula\u00e7\u00e3o em todos os espa\u00e7os.<\/div>\n
